New in Modular DS: HTTP Auth, site URL change, dashboard improvements, and more

Who said August had to be quiet? 😉
We’ve just launched a few improvements that many of you had requested. They are small updates, but super handy in your daily work: from connecting sites with HTTP Auth to a cleaner, more organized dashboard.
Here’s what’s new.
Table of contents
HTTP Auth site connection
If you work with websites protected by basic access authentication, you can now manage them from Modular DS.
When adding a site, you’ll see two new fields (username and password) in the connection form to enter your HTTP Auth credentials.

Site URL change and key regeneration
Added the wrong site URL? We’ve introduced a new option that lets you edit it directly from the site settings.
On that same page, you’ll also find the public and private connection keys, with the ability to regenerate them whenever needed to strengthen security and prevent unauthorized access.

Dashboard improvements
We’ve made a series of changes to the Modular DS dashboard to simplify and improve navigation.
The home screen now gives you a more practical overview: it shows all your websites and adds key details such as each site’s PHP version (in list view). With this change, the “My websites” section has been removed, making everything available right from the start.
In addition, you can easily check your organization details and status (connected websites, users, storage) from a new button in the top right corner, next to notifications.

Client company field
When creating or editing a client, you can add the company they belong to along with their contact details.
This makes it easier to tell clients apart if they share the same name and helps you keep your client management for reporting more organized.

Search Console with more results
With this update, client reports display the top 10 queries from Google Search Console (previously 5), giving your clients more context on the keywords driving traffic to their websites.
All these improvements are already live in your Modular DS account.
Give them a try and let us know what you think!
